James E. Thatcher
James Thatcher, Managing Director, focuses on asset allocation and international equity portfolio management for private clients, endowments and institutions. James spent his formative years as an investment professional in France, where he gained an international perspective on investing. He has earned the designation of Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®) through Columbia University.
James is a Director of The Bridge Fund, a private charitable program dedicated to preventing homelessness among the working poor. He serves as Trustee of Old First Presbyterian Church in Huntington, New York, and as Advisor to Volunteers for Wildlife, and nonprofit wildlife hospital and education center on Long Island.
James received his B.A. summa cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College, in Virginia, earned an M.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Ecole de Management de Lyon, France.
James, his wife and their two daughters live on Long Island, while maintaining close relationships with family and friends in France.
